This photo as taken by Robert J. Morse (1883-1945),
of his in-laws Mary Edgar Moulton and her husband Wm.Moulton in
1919. They were living in Queens at the time.

看 one photo of the Morse Residence at 3 Johnson Place, Ardsley,
NY. The photo was taken soon after completion of the house in early 1928.
Grandma kept the house at least until 1954, whereupon she rented an
apartment in Tarrytown for 2 or 3 years, before moving to the Saratoga area.

看Nana and the twins (Bob and Frank Morse), taken
in 1928.

Grandma Morse and hubby Robert John
Morse taken in Ardsley in 1943. Nana lived with the Morses in Ardsley I
believe for most of the time between 1928 and her death in 1949.

The photo of Nana, Grandma and Betty was taken at Bob and Frank Morse's house at 119 Main Street in Irvington-on-Hudson in November 1948. It was Election Day. Nana was the oldest registered voter in town.

Actually I also just discovered a picture of Harry Howard Dale,
who would be the son of Mary Herbert's full sister Margaret, (who married a George Dale). In any case, Harry Howard Dale was a congressman from (?), and some fancy dinner plates and a large serving dish with a turkey on it, that we had growing up, came from him (to whom he them originally, I don't know). Apparently the goodies came from the Van Buren White House, and how Harry Howard Dale got them is a mystery. Perhaps the White House was having a sale on stuff they didn't want any longer. Who knows. I'm just glad that Bill and Hillary didn't get their sticky little fingers on them. Better us than them, right? Dad ended up with the serving dish and dinner plates;看

Chris later writes: Did you that Nana's first cousin, Harry Howard Dale, was a thrice elected US Congressman between 1913 and 1919? [Math question: If you are a representative for 6 years does that make you a senator?=cb] He was a Dem from Brooklyn. Later a New York State judge. You can go on the web and read about him in the Congressional biographies...(go on to google and find it, sorry I don't have the exact address). Harry Howard Dale was a "confirmed bachelor" is my guess, and I think that he is the one who Rick gets his persona from, being legally trained and a confirmed bachelor and all.
